Achievement Badges

Achievement badges are a quick, at-a-glance signal of a person's track record across Nepher's competitions. They combine wins from both Tournaments and Hackathons into a single win count.

Tiers

Badge	Threshold	Description
Expert	1+ combined wins	At least one tournament or hackathon win
Master	5+ combined wins	Five or more combined wins
Grandmaster	10+ combined wins	Ten or more combined wins

A person is assigned the highest tier they qualify for — someone with 12 combined wins shows as Grandmaster, not Expert and Master separately.

How Wins Are Counted

Your badge is based on combined tournament + hackathon wins:

total_nepher_wins = tournament_wins + hackathon_wins

Both count equally toward your tier — a mix of tournament and hackathon wins is treated the same as wins concentrated in one competition type. Wins from sponsored tournaments and sponsored hackathons count the same as community-run ones.

Where Badges Appear

• In Verified Talent Pool results for companies with approved access, when the individual has enabled relevant visibility / public skill profile settings — see Opportunities & consent
• Alongside your profile on Nepher's community-facing surfaces

Badges are informational — they reflect demonstrated competition results, not a guarantee of fit for any specific role or task.
